Terms of service.
Public operating terms for accessing Ubuntu Exchange products, account infrastructure, and related settlement services.
Legal Framework
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to visitors, prospective users, account holders, counterparties, and anyone accessing the Ubuntu Exchange platform, its APIs, applications, or public properties. By using our services, you agree to follow these Terms and any additional product, account, or transaction terms that may apply.
Eligibility and Account Use
To access our platform, you must meet applicable eligibility requirements. This may include providing accurate onboarding information and completing identity, account, and risk checks. You must have the lawful authority to establish an account and transact. You are responsible for maintaining secure credentials and must not share or transfer your account to third parties without written approval.
Platform Scope
The platform may support digital asset activity, OTC desk review, payout workflows, and local bill settlement. Website content describes intended product capabilities and is not a promise that every feature is available to every user at all times. Feature availability may vary based on jurisdiction, account status, partner support, liquidity, and compliance review.
Quotes, Fees, and Execution
Rates, pricing, fees, settlement timing, and execution terms can change based on market conditions, liquidity, partner availability, network conditions, and account-specific review. Customers should review the applicable quote, fee, and settlement details before confirming a transaction. Completed transactions may be irreversible depending on the product, asset, rail, or partner involved.
Restricted Activity
Ubuntu Exchange may not be used for unlawful or unsupported activity. This includes, without limitation, sanctions evasion, deception, market manipulation or abuse, fraud, placement of proceeds of crime, false records, concealed beneficial ownership, or attempts to bypass security or compliance controls.
Risk Disclosures
Trading and holding digital assets involves substantial risk. We disclose that users face market, liquidity, operational, technology, partner, and regulatory risks. Past performance does not indicate future results. Furthermore, our public materials and platform features do not constitute investment, tax, legal, or financial advice.
Suspension and Termination
Ubuntu Exchange may suspend, restrict, close, or pause transactions and accounts where reasonably necessary for security, compliance review, fraud prevention, operational resilience, partner obligations, legal requirements, or unsupported activity concerns.
Changes to Terms
The current published version of these Terms supersedes prior public versions. We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after an update may be treated as acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law and any notice requirements that may apply.
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the platform are intended to be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless another written agreement or mandatory law provides otherwise. Dispute handling may be subject to applicable contracts, product terms, and competent Nigerian courts or other agreed resolution forums.
